Abstract Quantum many-body phases offer unique properties and emergent phenomena, making them an active area of research. A promising approach for their experimental realization in model systems is to adiabatically follow the ground state a quantum Hamiltonian from product isolated particles one that strongly-correlated. Such protocols are relevant also more broadly coherent annealing adiabatic computing. Here we explore such protocol system ultracold atoms optical lattice. fully magnetized connected correlated zero-magnetization (an xy -ferromagnet) by spin rotation, realized sweeping detuning power microwave field. The efficiency characterized applying reverse sweep with variable relative phase. We restore up 50 % original magnetization independent phase, evidence formation correlations. limited gap final state, which inversely proportional size, technical noise. For a one-dimensional spin chain with random local interactions, we prove that many-body localization follows from a physically reasonable assumption that limits the amount of level attraction in the system. The construction uses a sequence of local unitary transformations to diagonalize the Hamiltonian and connect the exact many-body eigenfunctions to the original basis vectors.
